Jubilee/Jubileo - Sat, May 29th

Hi! As you know I am the Youth Minister at a very Large parish. I am taking our teens on a mission trip this summer to Florida, which is being hosted by Alive in You Catholic Service Camp. And, no, I am not asking for money.

Our last big fundraiser is Jubilee, a sort of Harvest Festival meets Carnival/Fair. We are having it on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 29th. And, I was brainstorming as to how to get the word out about it. We are contacting the newspapers and such, but I need some word of mouth too. So, that's where you come in.

There is no cost to get in to JUBILEE. There will be about (hopefully) 100 booths selling food or crafts or other items. (If you'd like a space, it's $30 for the first space, and $10 each additional space). Also, we will have about 15 carnival games available for the kids, with tickets being 25 cents each or 5 for $1. The games will award tickets for winning and there will be a prize booth for the youngins with various prizes. Food prices will vary, but I can tell you it will be good. I work in a largely Hispanic parish, so you know there will be horchata and tamales. But, we also have a few caterers who are buying booths, and there will be at least one Italian food booth.

So, could you please consider helping us out by spreading the word? Click on the flyer below and it will take you to the vendor/seller form page.

Boldness

Did I mention that I am filled with Joy and peace! And, there's a smile on my face constantly. I just can't seem to wipe it off. :)

I absolutely love the Easter season. The readings from Acts and the early Church fills my soul with glee. Its amazing to hear and ponder what the early Church community went through in their faith journey.

Today's 1st reading as with all the readings from Acts just convict you in proclaiming your faith with boldness.

My first year on NET, I prayed for that gift - boldness - during our prayer group night with the Holy Spirit. And, I wouldn't say that boldness was given to me immediately. Yet, I can see how it has grown in me.

The Holy Spirit has done mighty and powerful things in my life. I could not ask for more.

And, the way Our Lord has provided for me is just so stupendous! I still, almost daily, become overwhelmed with the LOVE Jesus pours out on me.

Amen.

A man's strength is in his character! Amen!

I am so very blessed. I still am in shock this is my life. Every day I try to surrender to God and do His will. For in it, I am truly happy and at peace and oh so filled with JOY!
